The Moon Gnome
![]() |
DescriptionWool - 12 Inches high I was inspired to create this gnome after reading Steiner's description of these etheric beings while staying at the NJ shore with my Moon-Mother friends. Of all the elemental beings, these are probably the easiest to see with outer sight. Even though they are almost invisible, they can be seen in certain light. They have a deep connection to the moon even though they work tirelessly with our earth forces for the benefit of us all. I carded several flesh tones together with pale blue to create an invisible feel to it. These beings were described to be many in number but not all that interested in each other; kind of solitary creatures. They are solid in form and do not really use their legs to move about but seem to sort of float or fly along. They have little or no neck and large heads. Lastly, in line with its pointed beard, I shaped its gnome cap into a crescent moon shape to emphasize their love and longing for the moon's return. Private Collection |
