This wise and loving Mother Earth representing the black race has her hands full with this little group of root children. She has brown skin with a beautiful white braid wrapped into a twist and adorned with many flowers. She wears a turquoise green blouse with blue and teal stripe accents and buttons. Her skirt is a deep teal green and has stripes running across it in turquoise green and magenta. Her beautiful shawl matches the stripes on her skirt and the many flowers in her hair. Her hands are made to hold small things.

The four root children in skin tones of brown, red, yellow and white represent the four races of earth's people as well as their four major temperaments. In this picture, she tries to comfort her little blue melancholic child, while her red choleric notices a good climbing tree in the distance. A yellow butterfly is included to keep her little yellow sanguine root child occupied and delighted as it flits around (can be stuck anywhere) and her round green phlegmatic child waits patiently and wonders when it will be lunchtime.
